Some anti-virus software's might detect Jivaro as a threat and thus keep Jivaro from running smoothly.
To avoid this issue you need to whitelist the Jivaro folder within your anti-virus software. If you're anti-virus software is not on the list, contact support@jivaro.com and we'll provide you with the steps.
How to whitelist Jivaro within anti-virus software:
AVG:
1. Open AVG and click the 'Internet Security' tile.
2. In the new panel click 'Menu' in the upper left corner.
3. In the drop-down click 'Settings'.
4. In 'General' scroll down and expand 'Exceptions'.
5. Type in the path to your Jivaro folder. Default location: 'C:\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro'.
6. Click 'OK' to save.
7. Restart your computer to make the exclusion work.
Avast:
1. Open Avast and click 'Settings'.
2. In 'General' scroll down and expand 'Exclusions.
3. Type in the path to your Jivaro folder. Default location: 'C:\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro'.
4. Click 'OK' to save.
5. Restart your computer to make the exclusion work.
Norton:
1. Open Norton and click 'Settings'.
2. Click 'Antivirus' and then choose 'Scans and Risks' tab.
3. Scroll down and move to the 'Extensions/Low Risks' section. Click the 'Configure' link on the 'Items to Exclude From Scans' row. The Scan Exclusions window opens.
4. Click 'Add Folders' and type in the path to your Jivaro folder. Default location: 'C:\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro'.
5. Now you should see the folder in the 'Scan Exclusions' windows so click 'Apply' and then 'OK'.
6. Restart your computer to make the exclusion work.
McAfee:
1. Type 'VirusScan Console' at the Start screen and press 'Enter'.
2. Right-click on 'Access Scanner' listed in the left window pane and select 'Properties'.
3. Click 'All Processes, Detection, Exclusions' and select the 'Exclusions' tab.
4. Click the 'Add' button and type in the path to your Jivaro folder. Default location: 'C:\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro'.
5. Click 'OK' in the 'Add Exclusions Item' dialog box and click 'OK' in the 'Set Exclusions' prompt.
6. Click 'Apply' in the 'On-Demand Scan Properties' window and click 'OK' to save your settings.
7. Restart your computer to make the exclusion work.
Avira:
1. Go to the small umbrella icon on the right side of the menu bar and click on it.
2. After the ‘Professional Security’ window opens, click on ‘Extras’, and then select ‘Configuration’.
3. Another window will pop-up. Go to ‘PC Protection’, after that to ‘Scan’, and then, finally, click on ‘Exceptions’. Here you type in the path to your Jivaro folder. Default location: 'C:\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro'.4.
4. Restart your computer to make the exclusion work.
